ME Services and Clinics

The Northern Ireland ME Association would like to thank all those who have participated in our Petition and Letter Writing Campaign to get dedicated Specialist ME Clinics established in the Province. 

The Petitions have all now been analysed, collated, and are ready to present to the Health Minister, Mr Michael McGimpsey, at a meeting which has been arranged at Parliament Buildings, Stormont. The Association is being represented by the Chair of Committee, Ken Hull, Horace Reid, and the NI Administrator, Mrs Jo Calder.  We are also delighted to say that one of our members will also be accompanying us on the day. 

Following that meeting, we will be publishing on our website the Presentations which have been put together by NI MEA representatives, and a Brief from the NI MEA Medical Advisor, Dr William Weir. We would also hope to include the response from the Minister to our concerns regarding the lack of provision for all ME patients, including the particular problems in relation to children and teenagers with the illness.
